About Me

Hi, my name is Richard Cruz. I call myself a Modern Bindlestiff. I decided to fire myself from an executive job in a multinational firm a year ago, after working for 13 years. It was then that I started to seriously think about pursuing the things that I’ve wanted to do all my life- to travel, to share my experiences, perhaps to write a book, share a part of my time for a cause and to make a living out of what i enjoy doing the most. It wasn’t easy for sure, I know. But with all the things I have been juggling so endlessly- family, kids, work, family and more work. It has become a cyclic deficiency that I realized I have to act and change it because my job was starting to eat me alive. My marriage wasn’t successful primarily because I was always away and only have limited time for my spouse. I became so preoccupied with my career that I forgot that it’s not how far you can go but how you enjoyed on your way there. Back then I was sold to the norm that good life would start only when I have saved enough and retired. All other things would have to be put aside if that is not fulfilled first. The urge I had to start anew was born out of necessity, sort of a need to reboot myself and get a fresh start on everything without escaping from my responsibilities and obligations as a father.

I took a job online, working primarily as a consultant and a part time writer, no longer making the same amount I was making in that corner office in the CBD but four times happier, ( maybe more ) and contented with how I spend my time now that I have the freedom to take a vacation whenever I want to, make a temporary base of any place that I stay in, work whenever time permits me to work, restore my Volkswagen and unbound myself so I can spend more time nurturing my personal relationships and ultimately find self fulfillment.

I’m taking a close look at internet marketing as a business to start and earn me a substantial amount in the future. I’m investing in knowledge backed by my own experiences and a whole lot of guidance from people who have made it their own way. For me there is no turning back now because I know I am on the right track.

Follow me on my quest to conquer new territories as I share my experiences and learn from any mistakes I will surely make. I decided to write this blog to inspire people and make them realize that the easiest way to fail is to always say no to something new, especially if it’s something you wanted so bad.
